jimmydiddly
Processor: i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHznVidia GeForce 560 Ti 24 GB Ram My computer should be able to handle this mod easily yet I get a major performance hit whenever I use it. I get occasional major FPS drops. Also, (unrelated to the mod) I sometimes have issues where if I load into an area, I sometimes have FPS in the single digits and it doesn't stop until I close out and re-open the game even if its an area that I was literally just in. Anyone have any idea what the issue is?
MShoap13
I have similar issues on my GTX 560 TI. Alt+tab out and then back in (I'm on XP x64 and have to click Skyrim, hit ctrl+alt+del, close the task manager and then wait a second for the game to pop back up). It's an issue with the Frame Buffer (VRAM) hence alt+tabbing out helps to fix it as it forces the buffer to clear. The pcb command in the console may or may not help as well (just thought of this). As far as the 2K textures go, I highly recommend the Lite version as unless you're on a 2560x1600 screen, or a multi-monitor setup the game's mip mapping algorithm is almost always going to choose the 1K mip map and upscale it anyways. This process only helps speed up texture filtering and still uses the same amount of memory. Edited February 27, 2012 by MShoap13
IlIfadeIlI
I get this issue with Bethesda's own HD texture pack DLC so this is not just limited to the 2K HD textures. Alt-tabbing always fixes it.
