30 FPS Cap

So for some f***ing stupid reason the game decides to cap my fps at 30FPS ~35 when in low performance impact areas.

Fresh game, went from windhelm to helgen and right in front of the gate the FPS suddenly drops from 60 to 30.

Now i am tied to 30 FPS cape for the rest of the game. Sometimes if im lucky it goes back to 60, but i have to restart the game 10 times and disable and re-enable mods.

Also happened when getting close to markarth.

Its not even smooth like it would be on a console. its like the game is cutting frames in half, looks very choppy and unplayable.

Also tried changing uGrids and it didnt help.

i tried everything with ini files and nvidia cpanel. But it makes no difference, even when i have vsync enabled in nvidia cpanel (On, adaptive, Off) it plays at 60 FPS and then drops to 30 when i get to helgen.

Low,med, high, ultra quality is all the same and makes no difference.

Now my only thought on this is that some of my mods could be causing this or the game has a stupid bug that caps the FPS for now f***ing reason.

Fixed!

problem was "iVsyncPresentInterval=0" should have been "iVSyncPresentInterval=0"

s -> S (uppercase S)

Don't copy and paste from anyone on the internet :P

Best to look it up yourself.

It's not just for the visuals (which even in the special edition can be boosted with an enb), like i said, it has it's own built in "vsync".

I had a similar problem and installing an ENB solved it. Just reverse your settings to default and install the core ENB (so the visuals stay pretty much the same) and see if it solves your Problem (make sure your ingame ENB-settings have vsync enabled)

i dont think it would help. i tried all sorts of vsync settings in the control panel and none of them madea difference. (Off, On, adaptive, Fast) And in-engine "vsync" doesnt change anything either. So i doubt that forcing vsyin on from ENB would make any difference either.

would it hurt to try? An ENB works diffrent then your usual graphics card vsync, and it basically overwrites your graphics cards settings. (As far as i understand it is more or less a frame capper, so your havoc engine doesn't do weird things at high fps)

Its the same things as turning vsync on or off in my nvidia control panel. And i can cap frames with Precision X, but there is no point in caping my fps to 60 if it wouldnt even go above 30.

I think its fixed now, had some unassigned old mods from manual install since they werent avaliable on nexus special edition site yet. So i just manually added them from original skyrim nexus site.

Removed the old mods and installed/replaced with new ones from special edition site.
