Problem with female face textures

I've got an issue that's driving me up the proverbial wall. I'm running several 'character beautification' mods and one of them isn't working no matter what I do. The new hairs show up, same for the eyes, eyebrows, makeup and lip tintmasks... but the face normal map still has the vanilla forehead wrinkles and in the case of the Dunmer, the bags under the eyes. I've tried Coverwomen, Bella, Smooth Females and several others, all with the same result. Everything displays just fine, but I'm still stuck with the wrinkles and bags.

 

Thing is, I had Skyrim installed less than three weeks ago and was having no such issue. Now it's as if the game doesn't want to load the textures in cause.
