iamdoofuslol Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 i was playing skyrim yesterday and it was alright (not special edition) and i stopped playing it to install the moonpath to elswyer i think it's called. but i didn't re open it that day. i went to bed and tried to load up skyrim, but when i clicked the continue button, it loaded for like 5 seconds then crashed to desktop. so i thought "ok, it's the mod i got yesterday" so i uninstalled it but that didn't work. (by uninstalled i mean unchecked the box in mod organiser) i'd appreciate some help without me having to do a clean reinstall of skyrim because i had to do that recently already. thanks

But of all the things you can try, I can think of a few, like - uninstalling the mod and not just unchecking the box in the mod list - rearranging your load order using LooT and if LooT says it's not clean, clean it with "TESVEdit" I believe it's called. Good luck. unfortunately the problem still persists, however i think it has something to do with me getting a refund on the hearthfire dlc, though that doesn't explain why i can't start a new game. (it has the elderscrolls logo on the black steamy background forever but it thinks it is still running as the steam is moving. hopefully you understood that) thanks for the help though
