coldcrankcase
Hello all! I'm using Merge Plugins to merge plugins (obviously), for Skyrim SE, but I'm having a consistent problem. It keeps giving me a ballon that says "Exception Loading Plugins - Due to an exception, not all of your plugins have been loaded". In the log, every single error message says "modx" requires master "Dawnguard.esm" to be loaded before it. I have Dawnguard installed and activated, and it's showing up in the Merge Plugins list. Any ideas as to why I keep getting this and what to do about it? Thanks for any help!!
OperaGhost1408
It took me forever to figure out how to fix this... All you need to do is go into your plugins.txt page, then add the following to the top of your mod list:*Hearthfires.esm*Dragonborn.esm*Dawnguard.esm Save, reload Merge Plugins and you should be good to go <3 Edited September 16, 2017 by OperaGhost1408

Build3000
Thanks for this info, when I checked these .esm files were indeed missing. However, these files are deleted everytime I start up MergePlugins. Any idea how to permanently save the addition of these .esm files to the plugin.txt file? melvinius
I've never had this problem, but I always run MergePlugins from within Mod Organizer 2. MO2 passes through its load order to utilities that are run from within MO2, which often fixes a whole host of issues.
OlasMarz
I had to change the LoadOrder.txt file for it to work for me. idk why. (FYI, I use NMM) My solution: Copy the "loadorder.txt" file and paste it somewhere as backup (just in case) Open LOOTAssuming everything is sorted, click the vertical ellipsis button in the upper right corner.Click "Copy Load Order".Open MS Excel, paste the data in cell A1, then highlight all the dataSelect the "Data" tab in Excel, then click the "Text to Columns" button.Click "Next", "Next", "Finish"....then delete the first few columns that don't have the .esp filename in them.Copy all the data... paste it in the text document (replacing the data that was there before). Make sure that the format looks just like it did before. When I ran Merge Plugins again the error was gone.Again...this was just the solution that worked for me. VulcanTourist
You might not want to continue using MergePlgins at this point, since even its author has moved one and developed a better followup tool: zEdit. He's also the author of Mator Smash. That said, if your goal in merging plugins is to free up plugin slots, you're doing it wrong! The new "light" ESP-FE plugin flag allows many plugins to use an alternative space that allows FOUR THOUSAND NINETY-SIX additional plugins in addition to the original 254. Using Vortex as a mod manager gives you a leg up in this process, since it can identify and Light-flag many original plugins with a single click of the mouse. Not all are so easily flagged as Light, some require work to convert them, but there are many that don't.
