musashi22
I have 2 questions actually.. 1. At random points my game crashes.. obviously.. Most of the time If I go to load game, or I go into some shops or lately If I try to read a book, any book , it will instantly crash. Ive got a good 50 mods or more and Im 99% sure that they are all compatible.. Ive deleted some old ones ( the esp. files ) from my data folder in the oblivion launcher, but I didnt delete the meshes and textures for some of them. Could that possibly be the problem? Too many mods, or too many older mods that are just overloading the game? Which also brings me to my second question. 2. If I removed all armor, weapons, exc. from every house, shop, location, whatever, from my mods, and Completely removed Oblivion and Shivering isles, BUT saved my last save file, then re install most of my mods that are important.. Would the quests be " up to date" like, for example If I got through 50% of The Lost Spires , would I still be 50 percent through it ? And another thing.. I dont know if anyone has downloaded the mod that has the swords Trust, Faith, and all of those other swords? I have some of them, ( and one I found deep within a dark brotherhood quest and I could probably never get it back) If I re installed all of that would I still have them in my inventory like I do now? 3. Whoever takes the time to read all of this Thank you!! Hopefully Im aloud to post my IM 's here because I might not be able to check this for a few days.. [email protected] yahoo- [email protected] aim ( aol) smlkurby Thanks again Best advice, download OBMM latest version (Oblivion Mod Manager). There is a utility that you can use to determine which mods are conflicting whereby you can decide what to do and... it helps you to manage load orders for those that need it. Also, make sure you meet all requirements set by the author. Upgrade to latetest Oblivion version too. Here is a useful link to help . first before you unistall, delete mods that are conflicting, as long as any item you have that didn't rely on those mods deactivated, you will still have those items. if any textures overwrites from some of those mods you deactivate, just reinstall the mods that you activated and were overwritten.... or unpack your BSA's with BSA Commander to install the originals.
