Krytern
I can't figure out why some NPCs have invisible bodies. Clearly it's a mod but I am not sure which one and how to fix it. Any ideas? Arneercool
Your problem is in clothing/armor, wearable weapons or in missing body textures. 1. Most likely you have not used Cbbe/bodyslide correctly.> Make sure those two are set up to provide you with all the vanilla clothing as cbbe variants. 2. Second most likely is that the clothing the invisible npc was supposed to wear is a custom piece of clothing.> Make sure you are downloading the correct files from nexus, sometimes vanilla clothing and cbbe variant are mixed up in the download section, or are the same file and requires a patch to become cbbe, make sure you have those patches and bodyslide files. 3. You have some kind of messed up overwrite.> Figure out what clothing he was/she was supposed to wear, then figure out if you have a clothing or armor "replacer" mod that touches that piece of clothing. Maybe you downloaded one by mistake thinking it was standalone. 4. If your problem is with the companions. > Look at companion mods, make sure they are cbbe. Again, make sure your vanilla clothing are set up for cbbe. Looking around in this will in any case most likely lead to you finding out what the problem is. Krytern
I think I've found the issue but I have having trouble fixing it. When I use CBBE's bodyslide it is working for most outfits except it is chucking out a errors for some, all of which are from Eli Armour Compendium. EDIT: I reinstalled the mod and it is now fixed. I'm not sure what went wrong with it the first time I installed it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! BlueRaja
I had this issue with "Hookers of the Commonwealth". It doesn't appear to be a conflict, the mod just seems broken.
BlueRaja
Update: It appears to be an NMM bug when using symlinked folders. See https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3554020-nmm-not-installing-texturesmeshesmaterialsinterface-files-in-data-folder-using-symlink/page-2&do=findComment&comment=53803798 and https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/issues/157 The workaround is to manually install any mod that adds textures/meshes
NaNoAlfariz
I got the same problem too here but I think I know which one mod that starts make some NPC became invisible, hooker of commonwealth mod, after I use that first the hooker I spawn have Invisible body but I can fix that by change they cloth with the cloth I have ( even it still same "easy girl outfit") but I just realize that the robot NPC all became invisible except the companion, but even so I havent figure uot how to fix it, how to make the npc not invicible anymore and how to make the mod worl.I cant use F4se since it is not the latest version and I don't have any DLC so the unofficialFo4pacth just make my game crash, do you guys have an Idea how to fix it?? I still new about this
JoeAngel00069
I have a similar issue that armor I have converted or created in fallout 4 shows just perfect and fine on me, but when i equip it on npcs, they are invisible, like whaaaaat? Why? Edited August 18, 2019 by JoeAngel00069
splung
I have this same issue but can confirm that, whatever the problem is, it has nothing to do with Hookers Of The Commonwealth. I know this because I don't use that mod and yet Arturo, Trudy and a few other unnamed NPCs (so far in my playthrough) have this issue. It can't be anything to do with CBBE because it affects both male and female NPCs. Hmmm, most perplexing. I don't see how Eli's Armour Compendium can affect NPCs cus as far as I know, it doesn't force any outfits onto them. Am I mistaken about that? Blinxys
Some of you are experiencing different problems, for different reasons. You all seem fairly fresh to this, so here is the general overview / "crash course", everything is in much more detail elsewhere, seriously Google it. Look at clothing "Replacers", and if you are using unique player, or better (looking) settlers or some such.Make sure you have all the required plugins stated. Make sure you have F4SE installed correctly. That is to say with scripts in the data\ folder. With NMM download, then install mods manually through NMM.Save profiles with NMM, Save profiles after changes, Close NMM and reopen it.(it has a way of installing into it's virtual folder), if it does:uninstall mod close then reopen NMM make sure the corresponding folder does not still exist in the virtual folder of NMMif it does, delete it, reinstall mod. Verify files installed against your archive (zips, 7z's).DO not use LOOT. If using CBBE all outfits including default ones have to be for CBBE (there are default outfit replacers). You have "given up" the default bod for CBBE, commit to that. Check your Load Order.Load "Looks Menu" *Before* mods that change looks.Looks Items Hair, makeup etc before Looks presets. For outfits Batch Build, Check Build Morphs in Body Slide. Look at Body Convert It's involved but cool. I too just wanted to plugin and go, but this is Fallout 4 we're dealing with, and a fair number of other variables come into play.A year on, finally getting outfits nearly under control. Bottom line... It is educational Not recreational. :pinch: Good luck out there!
