VonLazlon Posted February 27, 2012 Share Posted February 27, 2012 I have a custom model with custom textures and for some reason they have stopped refreshing in game. I can see the updated textures in both nifskope and the creation kit but not in game. I thought it might have been the HD pack issue but my object is completely custom so that shouldn't be an issue. All I am doing is saving dds files from photoshop, they would update usually but it just stopped working out of nowhere, suggestions? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
d4em Posted February 27, 2012 Share Posted February 27, 2012 Make sure you replaced the file in your data folder too, not just the workfile - I forgot that once. Broke my head over it for 4 hours before finding out my stupidity xDOtherwise, I wouldn't know. Do you have multiple layers in the saved .dds? This is the second time it has happened to me and I have no idea how to fix it. In the CK and nifscope everything displays properly and points to the correct place. d4em Posted February 27, 2012 Share Posted February 27, 2012 The only other cause I can think of is you checking the workfile model, not the data file one... but I do not think that's the problem. Try a clean save without your mod, then deleting all your mods files from the data folder, then readding the files, then re-enabling your mod (if that works, please let me know - it would mean texture data is somehow stored in the save file, and that'd be interesting) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was wondering if it was because I loaded the skyrim data along with my mod data in the creation kit? I went back and only loaded the mod data, refreshed everything and it seemed to fix it. Another question though, how do I separate the materials of obects? I want to be able to alter the gloss etc of things individually like you do in maya/3ds max.
