Proximitus
So, as the title implies, I'm using the Open-faced helmets mod and with that I use the Templar retexture mod. Now I've opened up the open-face helmets .nif in nifskope and changed the paths to the Templar textures but when I use the helmet, my head disappears! I know I haven't done anything wrong with the pathfile changing, so it must be something else! Please help me out here :( When I load the original mod, everything works fine and the ebony helmets are shown with an open face Edited February 27, 2012 by Proximitus
d4em
You could try simply replacing the helmet texture with the templar one.Nifskope probably isn't updated to work with skyrim yet - I only applied textures using the ck so far (which you also could try if you want a seperate item: 1 - Load skyrim & the open helmets mod (if it has an esp) in the ck2 - Make a new texture set in miscellanous > textureset (just edit a vanilla one for the correct settings) with the templar helmet.3 - Find the ebony helmet model in items>armoraddon and press the select button for biped model. Then, double click the tab behind the name in the window. A scroll window will pop up with all texture sets in it. Just browse to the one you just made, and double-click it. You should see the new texture on the model.4 - Repeat 3 for the female biped model.5 - Rename the armor addon you just edited if you want a seperate item.6 - Load up the ebony helmet from items > armor > ebony7 - Redirect the "models" box to use your new armor addon if you made a new one.8 - Do the same "apply texture set" you did in 3 - but now for the world models, and rename the ID if you made a seperate item.9 - Place the item somewhere ingame - the fact that you know how to use nifskope makes me think you already know how to do this.10 - Test ingame Good luck modding ;]
Proximitus
I ain't using Nifskope for modelling, merely for changing texture filepaths and stuff.. But about my problem, I've did it with lots of meshes the last few days and everything worked like a charm! So it's problably a mesh problem.. For some reason it doesn't show up in the game, not even when I load it as .GND or Helmet_1.nif file.. But in Nifskope everything works fine! I see the helm and even the removed faceguard as mentioned in the mod. UPDATE - UPDATE In the CK, I changed the selection of slots it would occupy to hair and circlet, just like in the original mod. Now the helmet shows up, but all the other helmets don't! For some reason, it affected every helmet in the game, without me even interfering in the other helmet(AA) files.. DeadlyCobraXXX
he probably had HEAD Bipided checked on the helmet which would replace the head model with the helmet model instead of selecting Circlet or something like that.
