Deleted46472907User
I want to start doing personal face and skin texture mods for my game and perhaps when I feel more comfortable and proficient I'll share them, but for now I can't seem to figure out how to send it and make it appear in my game? I couldn't find any tutorials for texture replacing and the one I could find had a very old version of ME3Explorer.
rubydorje
Hello there,ME3Exolorer has many tools for replacing textures...Open up Texplorer and You'll see all the textures the game uses... the fun part is to find the ones you want to work with... well, you can extract and change them however you'll need to resave the textures in thier right format for having them accepted... Textures correspond to particular meshes so one character's textures will/might not appear the same on a diffetent character. You could use a photo editing software like Photoshop for recolouring let's say parts of the textures... Mostly with the use of Meshplorer, the mesh of a character can be replaced with the mesh of another with the corresponding textures thus will appear different. Real great modders can use mesh editing softwares like 3dsMax and so replace or alter parts of the mesh and then match the altered textures to that... well, this is briefly I could say based on my limited knowledge... feel free toask more questions if necessary, someone might be able to tell you more. Good luck.
Deleted46472907User
Now that you mention the meshing part, that may be the reason why I can't tell the difference? The texture I used had a face with a very different structure... Also I think the problem I'm having is maybe bump maps for Shepard's face? If there's a such thing and I can actually replace them I could at least make the face look more detailed.
rubydorje
Hello My Friend, I think there might be a slight misunderstanding on my part... anyhow I think when you install texture over mesh other than the one fits, you will definitely see the change... I think when you don't see the change that might be because you have a DLC installed what overwrites the one you worked on... all the information is in .pcc files and so DLCs have the same.pcc contained in them with different information regarding let's say the characters, etc... but the DLsC have higher priority... they even made prioritized amongst themselves...Perhaps tell us what you are trying to achieve. Thnx.
Deleted46472907User
I don't have any DLC except for extended cut, actually. Also i did have the face kind of try to fit the normal texture so I guess that could make it look the same? I'll try to alter it again. :)
