It is your responsibility to look for mods that have the same function as one you intend to make.

Complaining you knew nothing when you release something with the same functionality as someone else's work isn't an excuse.

Mod authors have no "responsibility" to do anything except follow our ToS. Which is the same responsibility you have.

 

The primary rule on the Nexus is: "Don't like it? Don't use it, but pass in silence."
