Odd animation problem

Hello all! I'm running a modded Skyrim SE on Windows 10. Up until now, the game had been running wonderfully. I loaded the Oldrim mod CHSBHC Body Physics Mod just to see if it would work and my animations all quit working! I had UNP installed earlier, but had deactivated it via NMM to see if this would work.

 

When I say my animations quit working, I'm not talking about the usual 'T-Pose' glitch with FNIS. Everybody stands dead still with feet slightly apart and hands just out from their sides. No-one moves at all, but me and I slide everywhere. When I draw a weapon, it just poofs into my hand.

 

I re-ran FNIS and that helped nothing. I deleted and reinstalled Skyrim SE and reactivated my mods, but no joy. Tried going back to a previous save and again, no help there.

 

I'm truly hoping that there's a fix for this, because I simply don't have the heart to restart an entirely new playthrough.

You describe installing an Oldrim mod into SSE like it is the most normal of the world.

 

HANDS OFF OF OLDRIM MODS IN SSE, if you don't know what you are doing.

 

Now delete EVERYTHING from CHSBHC what is left in your installation. In particular all hkx files. And most importantly both hkx skeletons.

OK, that didn't fix it. I already deleted Skyrim SE completely from my computer and reinstalled it. Including all the 'odd' folders I could find scattered on my hard drive. I suppose it's lodged in my save game now, somehow, whatever the hell it is. I'll try a 'clean save' and see how that works. fortunately, Bruma is the only non-vanilla thing I've done, as far as levels and questlines, so hopefully I won't lose too much

 

I had had some success with some other oldrim mods, but this has definitely learned my my lesson! :/
