AveonWolf
Yeah I have just gotten back into skyrim after not playing for about a year too 2 years now and I wanted to start my mods fresh so I did a COMPLETE reinstall of everything skyrim and mod organizer. Now my problem is, is now that after I finish getting everything reinstalled including skse mod organizer is unable to start with skse. What happens when I start skse through MO as the game starts up I get a popup saying that a component for skse has stopped working, the game will still start up but without skse. However if I were to go to my skyrim folder and start skse up from there instead of MO I do not get that popup and skse will load up just fine. I have tried looking into this problem but haven't been able to find much, some people say that it could be a problem with an enb, but that can't be the case as this is a fresh install and therefore will not have an enb. So I'm asking what could the problem possibly be and how can I fix it.
forskyrimmods
Is Skse and mod organizer on the same drive?
AveonWolf
yes they are although saved on different parts of the computer mod organizer is saved on my desktop and the skse loader is saved where it should be in the skyrim folder in steamapps. also I do not have my steam folder saved in the program files x86 folder either although that was never a problem before as it still worked fine before. Kathryyn
What Windows Ver. do you have they seem to be problems with newer windows 10 updates, SKSE and Mod Organizer Also just want to point these two out just for the possibility. - Make SKSE Data folder a mod within Mod Organizer- Install Archive version and make sure everything is installed properly
AveonWolf
I'm using windows 7 and just to make sure I'll give a quick rundown on what I did-deleted everything before hand-reinstalled skyrim-downloaded and installed mod organizer-downloaded skse and placed the proper files into the skyrim folder-grabed the skse rar. and installed it to MO-after reading your post re extracted the skse rar. and then re archived it and installed that one. after all that I still get the same problem.
