KittyQKeeva
I have gone a very long time without specifically asking for help (that's what Google's for, right?) and now I fear things might have gotten a bit out of hand... I used to use NMM for my mods until recently, when I switched entirely to Mod Organizer. I'll warn you now, my list of mods will probably make you cry; I readily admit I probably have WAY too many mods and I'm a very silly person for having so many. So, onto the problems:Black Face bugs, (which are currently the least of my worries)Some mods just plain don't work (again, least of my worries)Save files show as corrupted while in-game and cannot load, but everything looks fine upon initial startupMISSING CHUNKS OF LAND and not just textures or details - like, empty holes where land should be that if one goes into, you fall through the ground and end up in water underneath everything (the only good news in that if you move to the edge of the square of water, you teleport back up to the normal surface a short distance away. So far I've seen this Near Whiterun and ALL UP IN IvarsteadNow, if it turns out I just HAVE TO scrap absolutely everything and start from scratch, I will, but I'm hoping I can salvage what I have without resorting to drastic measures. Lastly, my load order, look upon it and weep.
jones177
Hi In modding or adding content to a simulator you will eventually trash your game. You will only know where the limit is when you pass it. I have done it many times. Issue #1 Black face is a vram issue. More vram fixes it. Caused usually by NPCs. Issue #2 Load order. You can mod to a point where programs like Loot can't find a solution. A Wrye Bash patch can help. If you want to be a successful mega modder, do your own load lists. Issue #3 If the game indicates that a save is corrupt, it is. I have been able to load corrupt saves but things only get worse if you continue using them. Usually caused by removing game changing mods, changing uGridsToLoad twice & save game cleaners. Issue #4 This is a resource/game engine problem. I first got it with Oblivion back in 2007. There are two fixes that I know of. Either get a more powerful CPU or back off on mods that add meshes to the terrain. Keep in mind that you can mod this game past the ability of any CPU on the market today. It is about core strength, not core counts. The structure of the game is simple. You really never have to uninstall-reinstall it. You will learn more by fixing it.
