Dragonborn's Antre - Alpha Testers Needed

I think I've gotten the entrance and main room of Dragonborn's Antre complete, well maybe it needs a few things like the navmesh, darker ambient light and louder music but it's real close.

 

If anyone is interested in checking it out, and hollerin at me about wasting their time (or telling me the effort has been worth it), would you please give the mod a run through?

 

A couple notes if you decide to look at it:

 

The mod is due North of Sleeping Tree Camp giant's camp. If you stand at the camp and look North there will be two dungeons on the compass, Dragonborn's Antre will be the one on the right of North. It sits at the top of the mountain and to get there you have to go West (left) of the mountain and look for the snow slope heading up to the mountain top. It may be a little hard to find but follow the dungeon icon on the compass and you'll get there.

 

There is a temporary chair in front of the throne. I put that there to be able to sit and look around because you can't do that on a throne. It gives a great perspective while building the area (I always like to sit and look around when I mod).

 

There is also a door to the right of the throne where I'll be building the antechambers....please don't go too far there or you'll fall off the map as I haven't started that area yet!

 

And don't worry about hurtin my feelings....I'm married and used to :wallbash:

BTW...if anyone knows how to animate a dragon please help me? I've tried to copy what Bethesda did on one level with animated dragons looking around but haven't been able to successfully copy it over to Dragonborn's Antre.

I will defiantly check this out, I am making a player house of my own, so something like this would be for perfect inspiration, But don't worry, I wont steal anything.

 

I will also get back to you with any bug reports/advice about that first room, But from what I see with that screenshot, I highly doubt that there will be any issues :woot:

BTW I forgot to mention that if anyone knows how to copy the dragons at the beginning of the Sovengarde level please let me know!

 

I really want to get the dragon animated but am having a pretty tough time getting it to work.

Ok so on first testing run, Could not get the gold ore by the statue outside the "house" to work. The one I am referring to is the one near the statue of Talos

 

**EDIT** Going to go that ore again and see if it was a one time bug

 

**PS-EDIT** It is a recurring bug, Approached the ore from all angles and could not mine it.

 

Besides that, Looks great. I had the waterfalls disappear on me but I am sure that is something to do with my system and not your mod, But ultimately, I will be tracking this mod, looks fantastic. And with work you could easily surpass Dovahkiin Hideout, Which is the top ranking Player Abode on the Nexus from what I am aware of

I forgot to mention that problem.

 

I have several posts on the web asking for help with that but no one has responded yet....even here at the Nexus :(

Ok, So I was able to recreate the waterfall bug, Its something to do with " TLC'ing " out of the pool of water that you fall into if you head out the exit on the right hand side.

 

So in theory its not a bug, More of something that is just there because of it not being finished ^_^ So don't worry about it

Yea...the next "release" I'll have some of those rooms done so that problem will go away.

 

Also.

 

I started a brand new game and tried that mine vein without my mod turned on and the vein didn't work. I now suspect that it never did :o

 

Did you find any other problems?

Not that I can see right off the get-go, There was just a minor issue I had with one of the elk getting in my way... But a rezone fixed that. Btw, How the "bleep" did you get your load time so quick.

 

I understand that it is a small area... But I cant get my load time to even get close to that small.

 

Also, No problem with the help, Its my day off tomorrow so, If you keep shoving out updates I will continue to test.

 

And finally, I may ask for you to look over my mod and give me whatever tips you can... This is my first time modding any game... other than Minecraft...

The navmesh isn't finished, so the animals are pretty glitchy. I just had a run in with the goat and had to slay the poor fella :)

 

The load time and file size is so small because I re-use as many textures as I can. It always helps to think about reusing textures in new ways to keep times and sizes to a minimum. Also, there isn't a lot of scripting going on in the place. Not compared to some of the mods out there. But holding down the number of unique textures help (well, it did in other games I've modded years ago but I don't think that's changed)
