Make7
Ok, I figured out the AI thing and the doubling is now stopped from my older post. Now I just can't seem to figure out how to make certain dialogue sequences work. I figure out how to make a topic and the response the npc might have, I even added it to an NPC but for some reason it wont show up on the topic bar to ask. Any suggestions? Thanks :) Oh and if anyone knows a good site for scripting/quests please feel free to enlighten me :)
cmac
Here is the Morrowind Scripting for Dummies site. I'll need a few more specifics to help you. What exactly are you trying to do with the dialogue? What did you enter? What's going wrong?
Make7
Well, for background info, im making a mod expanding Seyda Neen ALOT. So far ive added exteriors to about 5 cells + the two normal Seyda Neen ones. The basic theme is what Seyda Neen looks like about 15 years after the main Morrowind quest, and (I know this is kinda off-lore) the heads of all the states and their delegates(or whatever) are having a huge congressional meeting sort of thing in the new Seyda. The first thing im trying to do with some dialogueis getting the guards to talk about it when you talk to them. On one of the outer gates guards I added a topic 'The Great Hall' and the response was "new, huge, blah blah..." but when I went ingame to talk to the guard the question was not in the right frame of the dialogue box. Hope that explanation helps. Sorry about all the useless info at the top, just figured I'd throw that in there. :) Thanks!
ohGr
with the NPC, whilst in his box thing, where you can add items and change stats, click on the "..." and a blank window will show up, type in beginscriptnameaddtopic "topicname"end just end, nothing after end, just end. then the topic will be in the dialogue window.
