dubiousintent
I know it's me, because I never can see what, beyond the most obvious, is wrong with an image; but could you try explaining what you are complaining about? The Grenade Rifle seems fine to me. Things I noticed about your "load order": Don't use "Zan Auto-purge". It's for mod creators debugging; not regular game play. See the 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide for the in-game purge settings. You have a "mergepatch.esp" file, but it is positioned at 76 out of 130. If it is actually a "merge patch" file, then it should be placed last in the "load order". Otherwise later loading files will override it, losing it's benefits. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch file' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. Also see the "Towards Improved Game Stability" section in that same article.-Dubious-
SpicyManMeat
the texture for the grenade rifle is messed up. it's supposed to be the retexture from the WRP, but it's some glitched version of the normal texture.
SpicyManMeat
for reference, here's the non-unique, non-dlc grenade rifle. http://i.imgur.com/m2WE29C.jpgthe other link i posted is the mercenary's grenade rifle, the texture is goofed up
dubiousintent
Okay, now I get your issue. (I am assuming you have already determined that the texture you are getting is not the one provided by WRP.) Texture files are linked in the mesh NIF file. So if you have the "wrong" texture, it's because another mod installed a replacement ".dds" file using the same path and file name. It "overwrote" the texture file. The only solution is to re-install the desired texture file so it is the last to overwrite. Please see the 'Issue: Find the source mod-index of an object in-game' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide on how to identify the mod that mesh/texture comes from. That will give you the "mod index" in your "load order", and from that you can tell which mod it comes from. Then you have to ensure you install your WRP mod files after it, so they are the one overwriting. Don't forget to toggle "ArchiveInvalidation" afterwards. -Dubious-
SpicyManMeat
I have tried what you're describing numerous times with no luck. Archive Invalidation doesn't solve the issue. I am at a loss
dubiousintent
Then you didn't correctly determine which texture file is overwriting your desired one. Or the texture IS the one from WRP. If you can't ID it by way of the the "mod index", then you are left with uninstalling mods (not merely deactivating, as that won't remove/restore files) until you determine which one is the culprit. Then you have to re-install (not merely re-arrange in the load order) the mods so WRP is after it and is the last to place it's texture file. Just to be clear: toggling "ArchiveInvalidation" only tells the game to use "loose files" instead of those in BSAs. Toggling tells it the file situation changed so it looks again to determine which loose files are overriding BSA versions. It does not affect the files themselves. -Dubious- [Edit for emphasis.] Edited August 7, 2017 by dubiousintent
SpicyManMeat
Alright I found the ID of it, but I have no clue what to do as far as trying to track which mod is responsible for texturing it.the ID is 001753E4
