Sometimes this program works for me like a charm, other times it crashes like crazy. Windows 7/64bit. My pc is maintained and clean. I have no problems changing the settings in Nifskope once i get the .nif exported. change the BS and NI and vert colors, etc. but 3ds 2012 crashes a s*** ton when doing skyrim meshes. Anyone else have this issue? I have the latest .nif plugin I believe unless someone has a secret link. Let me know and thanks in advance.

Depends on the mesh you are working on but normally it works OK -- though will be nice once they get it updated so that there is less\no reworking in NIfskope needed !!

What version of the tools are you using ?? -- Newest was just updated a few days ago and is on Skyrim Nexus -- 3.7.3 Linkie

Nice thanks JD. I wasn't using that version. Mine was the January one i think.

I even have problems sometimes just using the female skele, CBBE body and making armor/clothes from scratch. tend to get skirts, panties, etc. sliding off during a cloth mod simulation.

Hi,

when working, 3D SMAX 2012 often crashes when adding a modifier above the BSDismemberSkin modifier. Delete that, add the other modifier, bake it (or just delete it after you're done ; unwrap uvw modifier for example) and readd the BSDismemberSkin modifier.

The Nif exporter will crash if you merge several meshes and choose something different than "leave the material as is" in the material dialog with the three options.

Best regards,

Gary
