Tobias44142 Posted August 7, 2017 Share Posted August 7, 2017 I'm trying to make a small quest in which I can pay Bolli from Riften to repair the riften dock thats busted at the end. Creation kit is buggy and crashes a lot even doing simple navigation through its menus. I've tried to look online for a list of commonly used scripts like "take my gold" (no clue what its really called) in order to set the next stage of the quest. I've learned a little bit but like I said Creation Kit is not a very friendly program. I've tried searching for similar videos but in any case. If someone could just write me a short walk through on the quest scripting. I've got the first part of the dialogue topic done but I need help. Thanks in advance. Tobias44142 Posted October 13, 2017 Author Share Posted October 13, 2017 Ugh forget it. How anyone has made the masterpiece mods that they have is beyond me. CK is just pure ass. One huge problem is despite having the "setstage" command in place the dialogue never shows up. I think programming a-symmetrical games on the Wii U would be easier than trying to get these broken scripts to work as they were supposed to. f*#@ Bethesda. When I click on "Add Script," it sometime took around 5-8 minutes for the dialog to show up. Have you tried simply waiting for the CK to respond by giving it a bit more time? Maybe it was just being slow?No I get how the CK works upon loading. The scripting just flat out doesn't work. I had it at one point. made a change and then it never worked again. If you want i'll gladly send you or anyone interested a copy of my ESP file to show you I have everything correctly but the stupid thing just refuses to work. My initial script for the first quest sets the next stage when clicking on the "activate object" but the dialogue thats supposed to follow doesn't show up untill you SAVE your game THEN load that same Save.
