pizzagod13
So I recently have decided to once again play Skyrim with mods, and was planning on playing SE. However, I read that the script extender program SKSE, (I think that is what it is called) is not available for SE. Essentially, my questions is this; is playing with mods on SE less viable then normal Skyrim, because of this? Or is there enough support now that I can get roughly the same experience? Thanks ahead of time!
WastelandAssassin
that completely depends on which mods you wish to useif you want some of the more complex mods , than the original Skyrim would work better , due to the fact that many of these mods depend on SKSE to workif you don't mind that , you can probably enjoy SE with the mods available for it the thing is , many mods weren't ported to SEif you know what you are doing , and follow a proper tutorial , you can port some mods yourself , for your personal usagehowever , this won't work for all types of mods , so it all really depends on what you wish to use personally , I tried playing SE several times , but decided to go back to the original for a proper playthrough , with some of the combat and quest mods I never got a chance to experiencefor me , combat in Skyrim was always the major weakest link , and while SE has mods like Wildcat (which I'm using now) , there are just things that I'm missing (using TK Dodge & Ultimate Combat with Wildcat is rather great)so again , it really depends on what you want in your game , and what kind of experience you wish to havefirst decide what you ultimately want , then see if the mods exist for SE . if so , just go with SE for the better stabilityif the mods you want aren't available for SE , go with the good trusted original
Skagens
Most popular mods that rely on SKSE for Oldrim have been adapted in one way or another to work for SE, so I'd say you get mostly the same experience, with a slight difference. I'm not entirely sure which mods you prefer to use. Think like this: If you're looking to play a heavily modded game with big and complicated mods, stick to Oldrim. If not, go for SE. SKSE for SE will probably be released sometime in the future but I think that release is a long time coming.
agerweb
SKSE will be a very very longtime coming by all accounts.
