Has there been an uprise in unapproved mods on SSE?

Or is it just me?

By unapproved I usually mean Classic Skyrim Mod ports whose original mod authors either went dark or have set extremely vague and undefined permissions for re-uploading, ports, changes etc. .

I've also seen a couple of mods with questionable content disappear as quickly as they were uploaded.

As someone who's made the jump to SSE and actively works on providing minor mods or the provision of Language Patches and Official Ports, I have witnessed an increase of this in the last two weeks, but perhaps this is more me jumping the gun, as I'm not actively affected by this wave.

you're just jumping the gun. if anything it has just been a small spike.

I did see a gun mod show up and then disappear just as quickly. Introduced rifles into Skyrim.
