Haukaido Posted August 13, 2017 Share Posted August 13, 2017 Request : Turn the human Brian Virgil to a unique settler that u can send to any of ur commonwealth settlementReason : 1)After siding with the institute and curing Virgil's disease I expected he'd ask me to help him find a new home or to bring him back to the institute to be with his colleagues and friends.But nooooo, he just says thank you and continues on living inside a cave with a rusty robot. 2) It's Immersive :A Human cannot live in the glowing sea.You are the director of the institute , Virgil has no reason to hide from courses (I brought X6 with me and he liked it when I helped Virgil)Virgil still wants to carry on with being a scientist and he can't do that in a dirty cave , he needs shelter and proper toolswhere? where does he get his nutrients from? it's not like he can hunt deathclaws or put a bucket to collect irradiated rainEven though Virgil can not go back to the institute (because everyone thinks he's dead) , he can still work for u as long as the Division heads think of him as a new scientist (after all he is now more muscular and has hair) no one could tell xD3) I want to put him in charge of the bioscience branch that I built in vault 88. 4) Named settler that never complains about food or beds or ghouls! Google searches yield pretty much only this thread. I wish someone could make this as a mod... You are able to recruit any NPC as a settler via Amazing Follower Tweaks, but they don't always function properly as settlers. I tried sending Phyllis at Egret Tours Marina to Sanctuary via this function, but she wouldn't count towards the settler population, could not be assigned to any jobs, and she would just turn completely silent - like her normal personality at Egret was completely overwritten. Long story short, I can see there being limitations to converting to settler an NPC who is a major part of the game's main quest, given that even Phyllis didn't quite work... ImmortalAbsol Posted April 25, 2020 Share Posted April 25, 2020 Advanced Follower Tweaks to make settler (look at him and activate the AFT menu either via hotkey or Pip-boy) and AS Institute Workstations if you want to send him back there.The list of settlements will come up as it does when you dismiss a companion or recruit a unique settler like Sheffield. Personally I would have him join up with the Institute refugees (MM quest resettle refugees. I hope this helps. EDIT: If having problems like you described there are three things you can try, activate AFT on her again find the voice menu and restore default. Secondly you could make them a companion but choose the option leave AI intact, and then dismiss to a settlement. Thirdly, there are 7 console commands and once you have done all of them you should restart the game, and 'move' them to the settlement you are in.I'll be happy to type them if you need plan C.
