If you later on are planning to get a new laptop? Build yourself a decent gaming PC instead. Then you always have the possibility to upgrade the hardware in the future.

So called Gaming laptops still aren't upgradable much. And such really powerful laptops, get seriously hot when gaming, so you will have to get a good cooling pad for it. And as always with laptops. You have to struggle to keep it clean from dust on the inside. It's much simpler to do with a PC case.

Besides, a gaming laptop will cost you noticeablle more than building an ok. gaming PC.

There are some good building instructions on YouTube for beginners. It takes just about 2 - 3 hours for a newbie to do this. And the only tools you need is a medium sized Philips screwdriver, some zip ties for the cable routing and perhaps a small plier?

Tips. Buy a big tower case with as big fans as possible. It will be silent, cool in an a good way and can take even the longest video card. Antec, Cooler Master and Fractal Design have very nice such cases.

Get a 650 - 700 W powersupply that are modular. Corsair or EVGA for example. A modular powersupply mean that you just apply the cables that you need for the moment on the PSU. This will reduce the cable clutter and improve the airflow thru the case. Whatever you do? Do not go cheap on the powersupply and buy some cheapo brand! That will come back and haunt you later on. Quality, always pay off in the long run.

Gigabyte and Asus have good motherboards. Just make sure that you get the correct processor socket for the cpu that you pick? An Intel i5 cpu at least 3 GHz speed is a good budget gaming alternative.

Get an SSD harddrive. Those are very fast and completly silent. Samsung for ex.

You can get away with 8 gb of system RAM memory. Any amount over 16 gb are overkill. That is, if you aren't planning on doing a new Star wars movie?

Make sure you pick the correct kind of RAM for the actual motherboard. Like DDR 3 or DDR 4.

As for videocards, get one with at least 4 gb of memory. Geforce GTX 1060 or a Radeon RX 480 are a good choice for the upper midrange gaming videocards.

Pick a card that have as big fans as possible like 80 - 90 mm fans for ex. The stock and small Nvidia ( Geforce ) or AMD Radeon fans are not efficient and sound like a hairdrier on full throttle when the card are under load. Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI and Sapphire have good gooling systems on their cards.
