Moondancerdrake
Played Dragonage Origins a ton on the Xbox but got it for my new PC just so I could play with mods. Wondering a couple things. One: Are there any mod that are HAVE to get. Like for instance I had to have the polygamey one just for personal reasons and the no helmet... Just wondering which ones are just too awesome to miss. Two: What mods should I avoid... so mods that really mess up the game...as in super buggy and such. Been looking at the extra content types mods for extended gameplay but wondering how buggy they might be and what others tend to work badly together. Lastly, some mods require manual install... not really sure being not 100% tech savvy how that is done, which is why so far only used mod manger files. Thanks all! Thandal
Avoid Improved Atmosphere. Not because it's bad. It's excellent. But because it is incompatible with so many other excellent mods. Use Qwinn's Ultimate Dragon Age Origins Fixpack v3.2 for plot and dialogue bugs, (it contains over 700 fixes of vanilla game problems, mostly minor but sometimes incredibly annoying if you're paying attention to what the other characters have been saying!) and GasTank's Dragon Age Rules Fixpack (the "fixes", not the "tweaks") for bugs with gameplay mechanics. And if you're like me and hate being there, Skip the Fade. See this article for a discussion of the various types of mods and how to install them: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies. Happy (modded) gaming.
