Wardogs667 Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 I realize (and been told via DM to his knowledge) that my idea may not work with how fallout 4 handles ammo, but i was wondering if there was some way using keywords to highlight items so that they can be used as ammo by different (modded for the item) receivers. This idea is my first time at modding period so I tried stumbling in the dark on my own as well as looking at other tutorials but found none that covered this idea. Any help is appreciated, I don't expect complete how to guides as I would like to put in the whole effort on my own but you would have my gratitude even if my idea is flat out not doable. JagMaker Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 I had an idea in my head to make different ammo for one gun (tracer, with a shifted center of gravity, etc.) but then i left to do another mod.To change bullets with the help of the receiver a cool idea, but mb better make a ammo switch? To create a variant of the Junk Jet / Syringer, you need to apply either the WeaponTypeJunkJet or WeaponTypeSyringer keywords to your weapon. That will allow the variant to function like the Junk Jet / Syringer. Then make sure the ammo has the right keywords (AmmoSyringer / AmmoJunkJet), etc. It's not perfect by any means, but it should work with some tweaking. In order to get something to highlight, you would want to create a Spell / Magic Effect combo that adds a hit shader visual FX to the item.
