wooden mannequin heads

ok so i updated some of my mods earlier and all of a sudden my mannequins had the default male wood head

i have tried every thing to fix it

organizing/fixing mod compatibility

console commands

other mods

removing every mod

making my own mod

and has a last ditch effort i uninstalled skyrim (kept the save files) deleted all mods and content and reinstalled i fresh copy

still none of this has worked (which leads me to believe it is something in my save file)

any one know how to fix this?

at the very least i just need to know how to manually change a mannequin's face (in creation kit if i need to)

The wooden head is the default. You must have added a mod that change it, then deleted the mod, causing the mannequin to return to default.

[Edit] I just noticed that they were female mannequins. You can change them back using the Creation Kit.

Move the 'Xmarker heading' and 'Activate trigger' (the red boxes surrounding the mannequin) out of the way. Select then right click the mannequin and choose edit (or just double click the mannequin). Look to the upper right of the box that appears and click the 'Edit Base' button.

Another larger box appears with tabs along the top. It should default to the 'Traits' tab. There is a tick box here (upper center) with 'Female' beside it. Click in the box and then click OK.

Click OK again in the small box and all your mannequins will get female heads and wear female armour.

Remember to move both the red boxes back so that they cover the mannequin. Do not rotate them.

ok so the mod with the mannequins in it is dovakiin hideout

i went into the creation kit, loaded this plugin and edited the mannequins like you said

in the creation kit it worked perfectly and fixed it

so i saved it and then ran skyrim, but after editing the hideout plugin, the hideout no longer exists in the game

ive checked to make sure the plug in was enabled, it was, but still nothing

FYI i dont have much moding experience with the creation kit

so my question now is how to edit someone else's plugin and make it work in game

  • 3 weeks later...

I also have this problem. My issue is that I'm a total idiot when it comes to software and code. Hardware? Yes. Code? No. :wallbash:

Anyway, can we get one of you modding brains to write a patch mod to fix this, please?

Much appreciated!
