BecksJay Posted August 18, 2017 Share Posted August 18, 2017 Hi everyone. I have just finished Skyrim Final Quest- defeating Alduin once and for all. And all I can say is that I am extremely disappointed. I expected something epic, like a mighty crescendo followed by a lifting of some dark cloud from Skyrim, and accompanied by celebrations. But it was just like there was absolutely nothing? It just ended and that was that. I thought when you walked down from the Throat of the World, people would be in awe of the amazing event and at the very least, thanking you and acknowledging it. But they were all carrying on as though nothing had happened, still throwing their same old snarky comments and the occasional "need something?" WTF?! There is no sense that anything has changed at all or that anything has been accomplished. You just saved the world, and some Guard is threatening you about picking a lock and another NPC is complaining to you about her husband.... Really??? Not even the smallest thank you or at least a little bit of change in the world? Defeating Alduin seems rather pointless actually. If the people of Skyrim care that little the he was defeated, was he even really a threat in the first place? What even was the point of your existence?
