SequoiaBaller
Hi guys, I am running Skyrim SE with a few mods, nothing over the top. I have a brand new gaming laptop and can only pull about 45 fps outside. Inside it works fine, 60 fps sometimes dips to 55 but mostly at 60. My CPU is a quad Intel i7 7700 HQ 2.5 - 3.8 ghz , my GPU is Nvidia GTX 1050ti, I have 16 GB RAM. My load order is: Unofficial Skyrim Patch Skyrim Beyond (BSAssets, BSHeartland, BSPatchSe, BSDLCPatch) SMIM Vivid WeathersSE Vivid Weathers - Extended Rain Vivid WeathersSE - Winter Realistic Water Two Simply Bigger Trees I also have Nyclix ENB, Osmodius Texture pack, and Total Character Makeover. I ran vanilla SE on ultra settings with about 50 fps outside, I changed settings to high and ran 60 no problem. I expected a slight drop after adding mods but 15-20 fps drop at times seems a lot. I was wondering if anyone knew what I could do to boost/change performance, maybe a different ENB? Any feedback would be helpful, thanks.
nightscrawl
The ENB seems like the main thing you can change. They do tend to eat fps (depending on what the ENB is). You might also look into a ReShade preset instead, since those can be more forgiving. It depends on what you want out of the ENB/ReShade. Also keep in mind that mods like SMIM add more polygons to the world, which will also affect performance.
