meh12345
I will hopefully have access to my CK machine sometime soon, but in the interim: I looked through the CK wiki (possibly too quickly), and did a search, but I found no direct information on whether you can see the diff of a given mod to its dependencies? Essentially, I just want to see the individual .esp or .esm, not the entire stack of files. If this doesn't exist within the CK, is there another tool for the job? Or, in absence thereof, what's a good workflow
ScarabMonkey
SkyEdit is pretty good for this - you can sort on the flag column which shows the modified entries. also TESVSnip allows you to see the innards of the ESP so you could drill down that way I don't know of a tool that specifically gives a diff, however. Incidentally, TESVsnip runs in machines without a Skyrim installation... Useful for tinkering at work ;)
tunaisafish
@SM, I wish they'd made the '*' column sortable in the CK too. That's very handy. I didn't know it did that :) @meh, Can you let me know if this CK wiki page is any help?
meh12345
Yes, I shall try and see if that works in the CK (tomorrow, yay!) Thanks for the info, both.
