d0kefish
Im looking to creat a glow effect that is seen in the lotr movies. Basically I want my weapon to glow, when enemys are close. Is this possible, and if so how'd do you guys think I could do it? I've been thinking about something like the bloodeffect but instead of a blood texture, it adds a glow map. If anyone has ideas or input its really appriciated.
Jerry60k
I have been looking at this and I believe it could be done. I am not much on scripts but ... If you could swap the target of the effect for the Detect Enemy Enchantment (the glowing part) to make Sting glow instead of the enemy. Keeping the part that actually does the detection. Then you could change the effect of a blue glow on the weapon instead of pinkish.Make sense? I messed with the enchant myself and now I have it activate on block+sneak for my mod. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/Sader325/TESV2012-02-2114-01-38-81-1.jpg I also Jerryrigged the bound sword effect onto a sword. This caused it to glow when unsheathed. http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/9109-1-1329879218.jpg http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/9109-2-1329879219.jpg However, when the weapon isn't charged with soulgems it has no glow. This all required no scripting knowledge to do, just some clever use/modification of some pre-existing enchants. Jerry60k
Think you could show how you set up that enchantment?
