teuast
Hi there! I installed FOOK2 1.2, it's the only mod/package I have installed, and it's working great except for the fact that within several seconds of starting combat inside Germantown Police HQ, the game freezes. It's probably also happening in other places, that is the nature of the beast, this is just where I've run into it. It only happens when starting combat with the supermutants inside the building: doesn't happen outside, and I can stealth around inside all I want as long as no fighting happens. It doesn't crash, mind you. It hardlocks, and takes over my entire system so the only way to get out of the game is to ctrl-alt-delete and either Sign Out or Shut Down. Also, the audio just finishes whatever's playing when it freezes, then just plays the ambient noise like nothing is wrong, so "freeze" isn't even exactly the right word. I'm playing on PC with Win10, an i7 4790K and a Radeon HD 6850, and before you say anything, yes, I know. 16GB RAM and the game is running in Win7 Compatibility Mode with "Run As Administrator" enabled. Anybody have any advice? Thanks!

teuast
Is your game installed in C\program files? No, it's installed on a separate drive, E: It's got all my Steam files on it, except I think a few low level application support files. Should I move it?
Deleted1205226User
Out of Program files is perfect. Having it in causes many problems on W10. Is FOSE correctly installed? Did you apply the multi-core trick in the INI? Edited August 20, 2017 by Guest
teuast
I installed FOSE after installing FOOK, this is my first time modding a Bethesda game. But it is installed. The what now? Googling that. Gonna try it and see if it helps.
Deleted1205226User
http://fallout3-multicore-crash-fix.blogspot.be/ If this is your first time modding Beth game, I suggest to read this: http://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/FNV_General_Mod_Use_Advice Although it's for FNV almost all advices given there are valid for FO3This should help you to avoid or troubleshoot most of the problem encountered when modding a 32bits game on a 64bits OS. teuast
Installed the Unofficial Patch and did the fix, and it seems like it's working! Got through the first two mutants just now, going to save and try the rest of them. You are a champion among gamers, my friend.
