LoriBornPlays
Hiya, I am having trouble modding my game. I have been modding my games for years using nexus, so I don't consider myself 'new', just new to modding this game. I decided to do it all manually, as NMM was having some minor issues and it seemed easier.I believe all of the mods have been installed correctly, and that its an issue with plugins? All of my mods are aesthetics based for my player character; hairs, body, tattoos, etc. So require the CBBE, hair, and Unique Player esps to run. I have checked the ini files. Entered it manually. Copy pasted it. Watched youtube videos. I think I have it nailed down. However...when I check the plugins. They aren't there. I've opened the launch.exe, but not run the game, like instructed to refresh the plugins.ini. Not there. BUT. I checked the DLC folder, and somehow they've all ended up there. What can I do? I tried cut pasting it to the plugins.ini, but it didn't make a difference, so reverted it back to DLC incase it caused an issue. I've installed LOOT. The DLC is all active, but the mods are not. Don't know how to make them active Any ideas? Edited August 20, 2017 by LoriBornPlays
RangerDulann
Manual installing for god's sake why?? You are in error, its not easier.Just drag a zipped mod into nmm. Double-click to activate. Done. Did you look at http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation

I also did say that NMM was having issues, it wasn't finding mods that were there, and was creating weird file paths within? So , I just dragged and dropped the file to 'data'. I followed each and every instruction from the mod itself, as I know they can sometimes vary between them.
RangerDulann
Is plugins read-only, did you setup the right permissions, are you the owner administrator etc.Otherwise I dont know. Maybe the mods are faulty.
