Proximitus
As the title implies, what do I have to change in my meshes and textures to make it compatible for German users? Besides the armor names ofcourse, any filepaths to change?

David Brasher
Test it out and see! There must be a German play-tester out there somewhere who would help you. Anything that is broken after the translation can be noted down and fixed. If you do a lot of work like this, you might think about getting German Oblivion for a second installation of the game. Then you could build and test on whichever language version was best for the current task. In Oblivion, the file paths would get totally messed up if you tried to use an untranslated German mod on English Oblivion. To fix a mod like that, all the texture paths had to be changed in NifSkope.
Proximitus
Hmm.. So, does someone has it's Skyrim game in German? I'm curious if the filepaths are also german, or if they are the same as english (textures/armor/Modname)
Fenriks
You mean the structure inside the bsa files? This is the same in the german version as in the english version. I use a lot english mods and haven't encountered any problems yet.
Proximitus
So it's just as easy as changing the name of "ebony armor" to Ebony rustung?
Fenriks
If you mean the name-property in the CK, then yes. This worked for my own modding attempts. But then, I think, you would have an esp for every language you want to support.I have not looked further in this but maybe this could help. Click Oh, and for your interest: In the german version ebony is translated "Ebenerz". So ebony armor is "Ebenerzrüstung". If you need help for german translations feel free to contact me.
