valuablebreadcrumbs
So, I'm creating a custom race. And I created a bunch of presets, and now I have like 10 copies of the same file. So in game in the race chooser a bunch of the same races show up, and they all have the same presets.Tried deleting them, but geck won't have that. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them so I only have one race file?

Quetzlsacatanango
Create *one* race. Maket it playable. Make all your preset NPCs members of that race. Tick the 'is facegen preset' box.
SHazardous
Have you tried removing them in FNVEdit -the saviour of mods gone bad in geck :)
Jeoshua
SH is right, you're going to have to use a 3rd party editor to truly remove those records. Anything deleted in GECK is actually only FLAGGED as deleted. It's still there, taking up space, possibly causing errors and crashes. FNVEdit will let you truly remove those records, once and for all. It's somewhat easier to get your head around than GECK actually, since everything in the file is everything that you see, no graphics or menus or anything. Just pure file data and nothing more, in a very streamlined interface. TLDR; Use FNVEdit. If you can't figure it out, maybe modding is just not your style ;)
