I always wanted to see a Dragon Age Origins companion as a follower in Skyrim, with all their dialogue and banter. It would liven up the adventuring as it did in DAO. I wonder if that is too difficult to make, or could you just copy/paste the dialogue. Just imagine having someone like Leliana, Morrigan or Alistair ( or any of the party) to accompany you on your exploration of Skyrim.

I think we'll see this eventually but two things might have to happen first.

1. Bethesda fixes the CK to be as expansive as the one from oblivion

or

1, People hack the CK and do the same thing anyway

and

2. Time. Lots of time.

Stuff like this is possible with the CK, but it takes lots of time. Current followers already make comments when you enter Dwemer ruins or come within sight of a creepy cave. The problem is that each comment is actually a hidden quest + some scripting. It isn't all that difficult to do, but it is time consuming. The CK as it is now makes it hard to enter your own sound files too. I've been slowly working on some followers styled after the companions in Dragon Age. It's hard enough just to get them to say a few lines of dialogue, let alone commentary while you travel. Slowly but surely, it's coming along.

It's coming. As stated above, the CK currently has some annoying restrictions that slow down the process considerably (why, oh why, is there no easy way to import .wavs for dialogue?), so it's slow going, but complex companions are on their way.

Hmmm why is it so difficult when people have been adding interesting dialogue to the game already, like sam the talking skeever, and all those other lol mods out there.
