Can't download and now can't even log in to Nexusmods

Like many others, the download links don't work. I've been using the work around by copying the link address, but as of today, even that doesn't work. I've been logged out and cannot log back in. I enter my details, submit, but the reloaded pages tells me I'm still logged out. Very frustrating. Any one else having the log in issue?

If you're using Opera like me, here is how I "fixed" it:

Settings > Privacy and Security > Disable "Protect me from malicious sites"

Dunno what changed for this to be necessary, but since I only browse well known safe sites lately it will have to do.

Doesn't seem to work well for the forum though, tried to post this through Opera and it didn't work.

Nothing on our site has changed recently, regarding SSL / HTTPS encryption. These issues seem to be stemming from an update to the browser plugin, 'HTTPS Everywhere'. Please logout from our site, disable use of this plugin for Nexusmods.com, and clear your browser's cache. Ensure that the mod page you're visiting starts with HTTP (rather than HTTPS). This should resolve any White/Red errors that appear when browsing file tabs.

I disabled HTTPS Everywhere (Chromium) and I still can't download. I tried refreshing the page too. same problem in Firefox, but I don't have the plug in installed there.

edit: I tried explicitly using "http://" but then it keeps giving me a "prove to us you aren't a robot" screen. I keep passing them and it keeps throwing them at me. I do not get this screen when I use "https://"

Thanks, Malkadir! What you put down definitely was a life saver. I did what you said to do and now I can use the links for mod manager. I figured give it a try. The least it will do is still have issues. So I definitely did disable https. I just don't understand why it's giving me issues in the first place...But whatever. It's fixed and that's the most important thing!
