Remove level from loading screens

Maybe someone can help me, is there any way to remove my level from my loading screens? There are several nice mods that add pictures/lore for the loading screen, but having LEVEL sprawled across the screen kinda ruins it. Is there any way to remove the text/level from the loading screens while keeping the background images from the mod? I feel like there should be a setting I could tweak on my end that would block it from showing up :(

You're running the game in an extreme resolution the game itself doesn't support. There should be mods in the UI category to resolve the various problems people have when doing that.

Really? I wouldn't have thought that, I am running 1920x1080. The thing I am talking about is the word Level on this kind of screen. I found several mods in UI to remove smoke or the lore text but nothing about the Level text.

Sorry, I was thinking of the Level up message people complain about with strange resolutions.

The level bar on the top right of loading screens is something I don't know if anyone has tried to disable or remove. My guess is that nothing has changed about the loadscreen menu so you can search for mods that might alter in the original Skyrim section and if you find one give it a try on Special Edition.

I found this searching for the exact same thing but for Oldrim, and it's fresh enough I might as well just post on here anyways and see if anyone bites. Doing a shitty playthrough series right now and this bar is both annoying in the first place and a chore to edit out of otherwise clean transitions, makes for a lot of busywork for no real reason.

I can find a loadscreen mod to add all kinds of bs, and as mentioned to remove smoke, to add clowns, lefthanded glassblowers, whatever. Nothing to remove this damn bar though.

Hey man I found a way to get rid of the leveling bar in the loading screen. So here it is step by step. You're going to need a program which can get into the Shockwave Flash Files in your Skyrim/Data/Interface folder. I use a program called JPEX (Here's the download link: https://www.free-decompiler.com/flash/download/). Once you have this program installed go to your Skyrim/Data/Interface folder in your game directory, then select the SFO file called "loadingmenu" (BACK UP THIS FILE JUST IN CASE) and open it with JPEX. Once you open it, JPEX will prompt you with a message about certain assets, just click no to all. From there, you will see a tab tree to the left of the window, click on sprites. Once you click on sprites you will see boxes with pictures. Click on the picture with a heading at the bottom called "DefineSprite (18)". To the left, again, in the tab tree it will have DefineSprite (18) expanded with a lego looking block as the logo left of the heading. Click on the plus sign and you will see another heading called Frame 1. Expand this and right click on the following files and click remove: PlaceObject2 (14) Depth 1 (LevelProgressBar)/ PlaceObject3 (15) Depth: 13/ PlaceObject3 (17) Depth: 14 (LevelNumberLabel). Once removed just click on the icon at the top that says save and boom you're done my friend.

Keep in mind I just thought about this and done it when I saw your post. it worked for me, thats why I urge you to back up the main file just in case something doesn't work for you and the game messes up. Also I do have Special Edition but I don't see how that would make a difference. Anyhow I hope this all works for you my friend, best of luck!

That works!

Just do it for normal skyrim then copy paste the exact file to Special Edition's folder and it works like a charm.

mofailed999,

That's not loadingmenu.sfo, that's loadingmenu.swf. This file by default is contained inside Data\Skyrim - Interface.bsa. A .bsa file is an archive. The program Bethesda Archive Extractor is used for unpacking these files. You might want to unpack Data\Skyrim - Interface.bsa to a dummy folder, then to edit loadingmenu.swf, then to copy the edited file to Data\Interface.
