TheWagonTrainGames
So I've stayed up to late bashing my head against Nifscope, trying to get it to load a custom mesh for a Shoulder mounted chaingun mod that just refuses to load. The only feedback I get is "Nifscope has stopped working, please wait while windows searches for a solution" and nifscope closes. So I keep going back to blender; making sure every face is the right way, triangulated, kosher, following the tutorial I found to the letter. Then Exporting to an OBJ file to use Outfit studio to morph it into a NIF file so Nifscope can read it. But then Nifscope just crashes when I try to open my Chaingun. =( Nifscope opens regular game meshes just fine but mine just seems to make it "poop it's pants". Looking for some advice, something I might have missed. I really want to get this to work as its my first real attempt to make a mod for Fallout. Thank you for your help! RangerDulann
-No disconnected vertices etc.?I'm working on a sombrero and had the same problem. Thought it looked ok. Then turned on laplacian smooth and there was some disconnected shizzle. -Or maybe the model has too many polys?
RangerDulann
Non-weighted/partial weighted models can also crash Nifskope.
TheWagonTrainGames
Thank you! I'll try scaling back the polycount to see if that works first.
