GreyscaleSibyl
Alright, so I've looked up some tutorials on how to retexture stuff and bring it into the game and all that, and for the mostpart I think i got it.The problem would be that every tutorial I try is outdated, and aimed for the days of Fo3. Back then, DDS converter 2 was the thing everyone and their mother used to convert stuff to DDSs and vice versa. Because I am running windows seven, DDS converter does not work.I've tried running it in compatibility mode, and all of that stuff, but it won't even correctly read what files are in a folder. SO, I now need to ask; is there an alternative that I can use, or some sort of workaround? Edit:Oh right, I should have specified. My tool of the trade is GIMP. I also imagine there are certain settings that need to be set when I change it to a DDS? Edited March 2, 2012 by GreyscaleSibyl
quacko
Well, i guess that it all depends on wich program you'r using to paint the textures,if you'r using photoshop there is an nvidia dds plugin that can save you'r files as dds.Other than that i cant say... hope it helped. Ladez
Paint.NET has built in support for DDS files. It does everything I need :)
