AndyPandyW Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Hi, I have had a large number of mods installed for quite a while, with no problems at all, and recently I installed a few more and started playing. After a while I got what seemed to be a random CTD.I relaunched the game and again at the same point (after I had killed this group of bandits, started looting the leader and just at the point I click to loot the Fur Armour, CTD again. I tried this several times and every time a CTD, so I decided to avoid the bandits hoping this was a one off... it wasn't. I got a CTD when looting completely different chest armour off a completely different opponent in a completely different place. I started a new game (for different reasons) and played through the intro to the point where you have your ropes cut off. I looted the dead Stormcloak no problems, chest armour and all, and waited for the Imperials to come along. I kill them, loot the soldier (including chest armour), no problems. Then I loot the captain, grab the key, and her chest armour.... oh, it's crashed again. I have no idea which mod is causing this problem or if it is related to the new versions of Skyrim and SKSE that have just been released. I really don't want to have to re-install everything and install mods one by one until I get a CTD to find out what's causing the crash, so I am hoping someone on here might have already come across the problem who might be able to tell me what was causing it? Cheers mate! Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I've not checked on the board in a while! You've gone and figured it out on your own anyway though so nice one! Well, I've switched to some different mods now and started using Nexus Mod Manager, and all seems to be working fine now! Hope you get yours sorted! sensei27 Posted February 19, 2013 Share Posted February 19, 2013 This thread was the clue I needed to sort out exactly the same issue. Turns out it's any body replacer mod that can cause the issue. (I guess when you remove the armour from the corpse the game has to redraw the body on the ground and that's when the problem happens.) For me getting rid of UNP solved all the problems. I did have a few UNP mods installed so once I've enjoyed a crash free experience for a while (!), I'll go back and see if anything in particular was causing the problems; maybe a corrupt mesh. XunAmarox Posted July 14, 2013 Share Posted July 14, 2013 I got this when I installed realistic ragdolls, xp32 skeleton, and dual sheath redux after having already installed another skeleton first and schlongs of skyrim.
