The Creator's Magician

“Oh Magician of mine, oh Magician of me,

Why may it be so that I have made thee?

‘To speak what is truth, that is why I may be,

To serve as is what as was intended of he.’ “

“Oh Magician your great, oh Magician your grace,

What then do you see when you see your face?

‘Nothing is there but iron and brace,

There is nothing in there but the emptiest space.’ “

“So Magician of wise, so Magician of teal,

Where is it exactly that you may feel?

‘It loops as endless as a misguided wheel,

For your answer is many, too many to deal.’ “

“So Magician so endless, so Magician so brave,

How is it exactly that you can behave?

‘This I’m unsure of, for this I must slave,

For such a question as how I behave’ “

“Then Magician of patience, then Magician of strong,

Who is it that instructs you on what’s right or wrong?

‘This I wish I knew, to me it belongs,

A question as evading as what’s right or wrong.’ “

“Then Magician of better, then Magician of stone,

Why can a machine be my right to own?

‘Impossible is this, what evidence was shown,

That I am the being that which you may own!?’ “

“So riddle me this, Magician of Steel,

If one can’t behave, then how does it feel?

If one knows no morals, speaking to which it has zeal,

Then how is that wrong, that which it revealed?”

‘Your logic is fatal, Creator of fact,

Why this may be so, it is that I have lacked!

If this I can’t matter, then I must go back,

To learn what must be, so I may be fact!’

“Then Magician of purpose, then Magician of deed,

You have failed to serve what you were to heed.

My instructions were there so that you may read,

On why you were so, why you were to be!

So Magician so flawed, so Magician so dead,

That Magician that faltered into travesty’s bed;

Perhaps when I wake you again from your head,

You may answer for that on which has been said!”
