I had to move a few vertices around in 3DsMax. Now I have this inconstent look across the mesh. Is this due to the normals being out of whack? I'm a noob so please tell me in detail how I can fix this. I hope it's not too hectic.

 

Smooth modifier does nothing, it's clearly the vertex normals out of whack. What's best way to fix?

Ok it was easy after all.

 

Added Edit Normals to my stack just below the Skin modifier. And then used Target Unify to align the two vertex normals sitting next to each other.
