[Help] Compete noob to modding

Okay, so I've been playing with mods and just recently started into properly having my game not crash. Love the work these guys do. However, I think I messed something up in the process and can't remember what I did.

 

Problem is: when I go into the smoothing craft menu, my steel plate armor shows up in the Dwarven category. How do I go about changing this back?

Without having knowledge of either the Construction Kit or TES5Edit reverting the lists for armor will be impossible to do , however the quickest way to fix this , is to uninstall and reinstall the mod via a mod manager (not simply deactivating it.) .

 

what happens when you uninstall the mod is you're removing whatever cause the mod to switch the armor from one list to the other

 

there is two ways you can do this via NMM (sorry I don't use MO so i'm not sure of the correct procedure to do either a reinstall or uninstall followed by reinstall).

 

1. find the mod in NMM , right click it and choose reinstall the mod.

 

2. same as above except instead of choosing, reinstall choose uninstall and from active profile (this will return the mod to a preinstall state, when done right click the mod again and choose install and activate.

 

 

Hopefully this will restore your armor to where it needs to be .

 

if not you may have to roll back to a save before things went south.
