I am using NMM for Skyrim and also SKSE and everthing works fine. I just downloaded Fallout New Vegas from Steam and wonder if I should use NMM or FOMM.? I am a little confused by this. What do you experienced people use? Both of my games are from Steam.Should I use NMM and NVSE or FOMM and NVSE. I just want to add a few mods to New Vegas.

The two don't have to be used together. NVSE is completely separate from a mod manager. NVSE is a script extender, it adds functions to the game script, allowing mod authors to do cooler things than the game originally allowed (Project Nevada is a good example). FOMM and NMM are mod managers for installing and managing mod files.

That being said, if you're already using SKSE, then you probably have no issue using a script extender, so I would say go with NVSE, as it allows you to play amazing mods.

The choice to use NMM or FOMM is really a personal one. I use NMM for Skyrim (no choice really), but because I also make mods, I prefer FOMM for Fallout. However, if you don't author your own mods, and just download, then NMM is the better option because it tells you about updates and doesn't have a bunch of features you would never use anyway. Plus, you already have it.

Really, unless your mods require it specifically, you could get by without using NVSE at all if your game runs smooth enough without it. and anything under say 50 mods can be handled quite readily with NMM.

FOMM does have some nice added functions, but nothing you really need for your purposes. and NMM is way quicker than FOMM.
