An Error Occured is back again?

So I was away for more than a month & I just got back & I realized I can not download anything. I mean absolutely NOTHING!
Just last week, I was going to download a Skyrim mod & this pop up showed up. i didn't paid attention to it then because I thought it'll go away on its own. Today, it happens again, so what's the problem now? I tried reading the site news & I don't see anything about this. So what is this about?

Same issue. Have tried logging out/in, clearing cache and cookies, but still no luck.

It's some kind of issue with SSL/HTTPS that the admins won't address (claiming it's somehow a user-side problem). Only way around it is to connect via unsecured HTTP, which is increasingly difficult now as many browsers redirect to HTTPS by default.

EDIT- I FOUND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE ANSWER IS ON REDDIT INSTEAD OF AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE SITE ITSELF!

(Which you think it would be but who am I to question it, right?)

 

I don't ever use reddit but I got fed up after dealing with this problem for 2 weeks myself. I searched "nexusmods broken" on google and on like the second page was a link to reddit explaining whats going on and how to fix it. I followed the instructions and the problem is now solved for me, but seriously why isn't this pinned anywhere on these damn forums???

Yeah, trying to download NMM and i'm getting the same error. I've downloaded it in the past with no problems.

Running Windows 10. Switched to the Windows Edge browser (which I never use...always use Chrome) and was able to download/install mods with no issues. Not sure why, but at least it's a workaround.

For people using the HTTPS Everywhere plugin, this might be your problem.
