RoboComrade
New to modding FNV. I'm using Nexus Mod Manager to install mods when possible, and LOOT to sort my load order. I've been fussing with the textures for a day or so, now. Started noticing issues when I encountered Niner outside of Goodsprings, except he was giving me the infamous exclamation point error. No head, just a floating bandana, set of eyes, and a mouth. I managed to whittle it down to just Doc Mitchell bugging out, but as the title suggests, I'm getting the same weird pink head texture. I've posted a screenshot to imgur. (http://imgur.com/a/KG5Cu) Here's my current load order. At the time of posting, I've still got Archive Invalidation enabled. NOTE: That screenshot is from AFTER I disabled all mods, uninstalled and reinstalled FNV, and then tried to start up a new vanilla save. dubiousintent
Assuming this is from "Beauty Pack PLUS -Project Mikoto- Hair - Eyes - Presets" by Matteius, according to the "Troubleshooting" section of the description on the download page, this means you are missing some assets. (Which conforms to my expectation for that kind of error.) Which means you are missing the BSA file for that mod. I don't use NMM, so you will need to read up on where it places mod BSA files and how it gets them into the game "Data" folder. OR simply install the mod manually. BUT, note you also have the "Delilah" companion mod installed (presumably this is "Delilah- Mojave MD" by scrumpusrex). That uses a Type-3 body replacement, and the "Mikoto Beauty Pack" says it "is not compatible with any mod that alters races. This will include other beauty packs or similar files." So you need a patch for them to work together. Otherwise "Delilah" may be overwriting the mesh or texture file needed by Mikoto for Doc. At the very least I would expect you need to place "Delilah.esp" before "Mikoto.esp" in your "load order", and then use a "merge/bashed patch" file to resolve any record level conflicts. Please see the 'Body Replacement Basics', 'Third Rule: The Rule of One', 'Smaller Plugin Cap', and 'Merge Patch file' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. -Dubious- Edited August 28, 2017 by dubiousintent

RoboComrade
Actually, one more thing while I gotcha on the horn. Only issue I'm having now is that, for some odd reason, everyone has a bad case of pink mouth. dubiousintent
Same sort of issue: missing texture file. Someone else reported in the FCO thread: I remember the first time I installed this mod [FCO] through NMM, I got a prompt asking if I want HD teeth or other (Forgot what the name was), I chose neither and continued with the install. Now, after uninstalling and reinstalling, I no longer have that prompt which asks me which teeth I want. I think this is causing my texture problem. The solution provided was to uninstall the mod entirely from your mod manager (or the "Data" folder), close the manager and re-open, and re-install the mod. This time always make a choice when offered. Edit: Let me know if that solves it for you and I'll add it to the "Troubleshooting" guide for the next person. -Dubious- Edited August 28, 2017 by dubiousintent
RoboComrade
Problem solved, yet again! I had to forgo the FCO patch for Niner, though. Still kept turning him into a floating set of eyes, mouth, and bandanna, with that red diamond exclamation error. Oh well.
dubiousintent
Thanks for the feedback. The red exclamation mark is a missing mesh. The "floating set of eyes, mouth, and bandanna" suggest a missing head mesh. Check you have installed all the assets for Niner and FCO the patch provides or calls for. Then toggle "ArchiveInvalidation" in NMM off-and-on again. (You need to do this every time you change or install mesh/texture files.) -Dubious-
