DiMx999
Whenever I try downloading a new mod, although I have NMM open and I am logged in, a new NMM program appears but for original Skyrim, not Special Edition. So two NMM's are opened. And the mod is being downloaded for the original Skyrim NMM, not the one I want (NMM for Special Edition). Other times a Skyrim Setup appears where I have to choose the directory where I want my mods to be stored, but I already done that when I first downloaded NMM. I face this problem in many mods and when I try to install them manually (by pasting the files in the game's directory), it simply doesn't work. I don't know if the mods I am trying to install are only for original Skyrim and not Special Edition, but I've watched YouTube videos where they say that these mods I'm trying to install work for the SE as well. Please let me know if I'm not clear enough and please help me solve this problem as soon as possible.Thank you. Some of the mods I am trying to install for the Special Edition and I face the problem where a new NMM programe shows up for the original Skyrim, not SE. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D607%26preview%3D&pUp=1 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63702/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3829/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D3829%26preview%3D&pUp=1 (This is one of the mods that when I click DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER a Skyrim Setup appears where I have to choose the directory where I want my mods to be stored)
Grospolina
This happens because NMM can be used for both original Skyrim and Skyrim SE at the same time, and it keeps the mods separate. All of the mods you listed are for the original Skyrim. You can tell by scrolling up and looking under the "nexusmods" logo. Because of that, it's trying to download them in Skyrim mode. To use this with Skyrim Special Editon, you can't use the "Download with Manager" option. Instead, you should download each mod manually into a downloads folder. Then, go into NMM and click the Add button (plus sign). Navigate to where you downloaded the file and select it. It will then be available to you. Since you're adding a Skyrim mod to Skyrim SE, it won't be able to detect updates either. In fact, sometimes the download ID will link the mod to the wrong file since it's looking for the file in the Skyrim SE section. To get around this problem, you can optionally delete the download ID from the filename before you add it to NMM. For example, rename "Deadly Dragons v 6.4.1-3829-6-4-1b.7z" to "Deadly Dragons v 6.4.1.7z". A different way of doing it would be to set up your NMM in original Skyrim mode and make a note of where the downloaded mods directory is. I'm not sure if it works if you don't actually have the original Skyrim installed. If it does, or if you do own original Skyrim, then you can use "Download with Manager" to download the mods and then switch NMM over to SSE mode and "Add" the mods as I described above. Just navigate to where NMM downloaded the mods to. That way, you can switch back to Skyrim mode in order to check for updates.
