PoorlyAged
I'm old and have already had one heart attack. Such is the nature of life. However; when the inevitable happens I do not want my mods to die with me. I have read about The Care Taker, and like this concept. Unfortunately, I do not want to dump my mods into some generic faceless pool of 'unwanted toys'. My preference is to assign another mod author to take over my mods when I "shuffle off this mortal coil". Someone which I can identify in some sort of "legacy assignment" space attached to my profile. And before someone jumps on it, I do not want to put this information into some "permissions" statement in each mod. I want something that covers all my mods, past, present and future and can be changed in a single entry in my profile. Thanks for considering. Thandal
As I believe you already know, you can basically do this anytime you wish. Simply add the specific member(s) you want handling things in the "Attributes" section of your mod(s): ====================== User permissionsOther team membersnone. Give editing access to: [_____________] ====================== And then when the inevitable occurs, the person(s) designated can request that the mod's ownership be transferred completely. Yes, you have to do this for each mod... but seriously? You have so many mods that entering one more simple piece of information is such a burden? Especially given the amount of other information you're already entering when uploading a mod in the first place? If so, maybe it would make more sense to designate this person in your real-world will, giving them your Nexus username and password so they could then take direct control of your mod(s). Which would also obviate several other questions, like how the Nexus would ever know of/confirm your demise.
