reimar28
Are you logging in through F4SE? If so, that's why. Try logging in through Steam
fenrir121
I had to deactivate then reactivate all of my mods.
dikr
Always forget to disable those sneaky steam updates. Downloaded an old exe from a thread on steam but not installed it yet as the replies suggest it's not working perfectly either. Waiting game now. Utterly disappointing move from Bethesda anyway. They just don't get the idea of an open platform in their minds. Apparently they have people at the helm that actually want to capitalize on it beyond boxes and dlc. Disgusting. It's a bit like what would have happened if Apple created the WIndows OS.
saberthechampion
This is happening to me. I don't have F4SE but the game still won't start now after update. I had to deactivate then reactivate all of my mods. I'll try this and see if that works.
saberthechampion
Got it working. In my case I had a mod which put a new MainMenu.swf in the Interface folder. I just had to either rename it or delete it. Lucky I didn't need that mod anymore. Can't blame Bethesda for conflicts with mods after all.
kuille
You can if it was a deliberate act so they can get the "paid mod" (mini dlc) / Cash Grab/ rip off whatever you call it up and running.
Labla80
Its Bethesda. The F4SE is running the version of F04 before Creation Club. Unless you have some other way in, you will have to wait for F4SE to update to the current FO4. Its not the mods causing the problem.
Labla80
If you log in through Steam, is it possible to keep the mods? I always thought signing in that way deactivated all mods?
saberthechampion
You can if it was a deliberate act so they can get the "paid mod" (mini dlc) / Cash Grab/ rip off whatever you call it up and running. If it's mods that cause the issue, however, no you can't. But I know stubborn people still will. Its Bethesda. The F4SE is running the version of F04 before Creation Club. Unless you have some other way in, you will have to wait for F4SE to update to the current FO4. Its not the mods causing the problem.F4SE is essentially a mod though. So not Bethesda's fault. You should know the risks for any game if you choose to install mods. But yes, wait for the mod creator to fix the issue if you must have them. Although, I'm not saying that Bethesda can't make some bad decisions, like the fact that CC downloads the mods automatically without you even buying them. Kind of annoying.
