Jaybird2k11
Hey there, new modder here. I was playing around with stardew valley mods earlier tonight, and had most of them up and running, I tried installing a couple mods that were a little bit different than "drag and drop into mods folder" variety. I backed up whatever folders i could, except for some that kept telling me that they were "open in another program" or something to that effect. After feeling satisfied with my modding work, i went to boot up Stardew, and poof, broken stardew. And I have no idea how to fix it. now, I do have two different steam folders somehow that i might be able to restore my game with, which i have't tried yet. but in the meantime, here's a screenshot. If there's anything anyone can help me with to fix it, I would appreciate it. reinstalling stardew and losing my save files isn't really a huge loss, except for the handful of hours or so i've invested into my two files, but i backed them up anyhow. HALP brokemystardew.pngYou don't have to lose your save file. Simply type "%appdata%" without the quotes in your file explorers navigation input, then look for the StardewValley folder, then Saves, and backup your save folder, uninstall the game, reinstall the game, and copy your backed up save folder back to the same location you got it from. Presto, reinstall to default with no loss to save files. Edited September 15, 2017 by Cylesburk
Verogames
Also in the future. Close smapi and sdv using task master (ctrl+alt+delete) to be able to save an entire back up :)
